I couldn't fit anymore pictures o here are some more......

DisneyLand

Last Thursday morning I woke the kids up and told them to get dressed because we were going to Disneyland. Elliot didn't believe me, Hanna screamed and Malory said "OK". Elliot finally realized that I wasn't joking when Brecke and my mom were telling him that we were really going. When we got there the first thing we did was see the castle and ride Pirates of the Caribbean, its a Carlson tradition. The kids didn't know what to expect, Elliot was really nervous, Hanna was scared for a minute and Malory just took everything in. After that we just kept riding rides and having so much fun.

On Friday Beau, Courtney, Cavin and Sawyer met us at Disneyland. It was so fun to share one of there kid's first with them. The kids took turns going on rides with each other. Cavin and Elliot got to do Jedi Training, they were so excited. They each got to wear robe and use a light saver. During the training all of sudden the stage rose with smoke coming out and Darth Vadar was standing there, Elliot freaked out!! The boys each got to fight either Darth Vadar or Darthmall (i don't know how to spell star wars characters names), they both fought Darthmall because Cavin was afraid of Darth Vadar.

Hanna got a new nickname on the trip "Dare Devil" because she rode all the "big" rides. Her favorite were Space Mountain,California Express, Thunder Mountain.

Malory went on everything also, we were all worried about her on Thunder Mountain but she said that was her favorite ride.

My favorite thing were the fireworks and the roller coaster California express in California adventure. We also watched 2 different parades and the kids reaction to those was great.

The trip was amazing and I'm so glad that I finally did it with my monkeys. My mom and dad came along and help me out a ton, there's no way I would've been able to do this with out them.

Last night I went and saw John Mayer at Usana, I have not gone to concert in so long. It was a perfect night and sitting out on the grass was great. I went with my cousin Heather and her daughter Dani. We had so much fun and the music was great.

Elliot Is 8!!

Elliot turned 8 yesterday and I can't believe it. I asked Elliot last night what his favorite birthday was and he said "I don't have a favorite they are all awesome, it's like you ask me if I have a favorite Led Zeppelin song and I love them all."

It was Elliot's year for a friend party so he picked to go play laser tag with his friends, they had fun, after each game they would come out all sweaty and give each other high five, it was cute.

My friend Shandell made his cake and she surprised Elliot and I, he loved it.

My Grandpa

David Eugene Moench "Gene" 1916 ~ 2008. The earthly sojourn of a most choice man came to a close on Saturday, June 21, 2008. I'm the luckiest girl to have been a part of his life. When I think about my Grandpa Gene I think about how he loved my Grandma and how he worked so hard to have the cabins we had growing up. My favorite thing about Grandpa Gene is his hugs and his cute smile when he looked at me and my children.

Rodeo

Hanna was in a Rodeo for school, she made a horse out of an old sock with buttons for eyes. Each child got to pick an event, Hanna chose the buckin-bronco.

Tea Time

Malory had a great idea to have a tea party with some of her friends, she told Hanna that she could have one too. The girls got really excited and started planning the food and how the table should look. So we made peanut butter and banana sandwich's, homemade Oreo cookies, and strawberries. For the tea the girls got to pick out there favorite kool-aid. It was really fun, all the girls even did cheers at the table with there tea cups!

Mother's Day

My kids spoiled me yesterday for Mother's Day. I love the little gifts they make at school, they make me cry every year. Elliot wrote a book about "My mom is cool". My favorite part is I make the best snicker doodles, I've only made those once, but apparently they are the best. Hanna gave me a sweet poem about fingerprints and it has her hand print on it and her picture, that one made me cry. Malory made me a little pot painted like a watermelon, inside she planted a watermelon seed and colored a flower picture, on the back it says "Your one in a melon mom, thanks for helping me grow." I had a great mother's day, I'm so lucky to have a mom like mine, I've learned so much from her and still do everyday.

My Cub Scout

Elliot started scouts and its so weird, that I have a son old enough to do that. He has read his book every night and has already done 2 projects.

#9

Malory started playing soccer with her friend Macy, and Shandell is the coach. It has been really fun to watch her learn the game and play with the other kids. Malory has been pretty aggressive and has come so close to scoring a goal.
I have been the biggest slacker lately, I'm going to try to do better about keeping this blog updated. So here's whats been going on with us lately.

Sick Monkeys

So we have been home sick for 3 days now and I'm going a little stir crazy. It started Tuesday in the middle of the night with fevers, stomach aches, and headaches. Then yesterday my mom felt Malory's glands on her throat and they are huge so we went to the doctor and all 3 of my kids have strep. Today is a little bit better, still sleeping on the couch and watching movies all day. I hope they get better soon.

My Dancing Queen

Hanna's been taking dance for 3 years, and she absolutely loves to perform. She's a natural.

Parents got to go to the studio last month to watch a class and see what they've been learning. Hanna loves Modern; she's also learned how to do arch-ups and tumbling. She's fun to watch!

My Jazz Player

Elliot's been playing Jr. Jazz Basketball, and he loves it. The number on his jersey is 2, however, we cannot yell "Go #2!" at the games... if you know what I'm sayin'.

He loves to play, and we love to watch!

We brought the outdoor basketball hoop into the kitchen, so he can practice every single day!

Malory's First Day of School!

Even though it doesn't seem like it should be the first day of school, I enrolled Malory into pre-school today!

Here she is ready to go meet her teacher and classmates.

Malory was so excited to go, and she was sooo excited to go with her friend Macy.

Welcome!

Welcome to our family's blog! We'll update you on all the ongoings of my monkeys- there's gonna be a lot!

Thanks for stopping by.
